Taylor's professional career started with YouTube. She started by making ASMR videos with her smartphone. PewDiePie also featured her in a gaming online video not long after she hit 50,000 subs approximately 1 1/2 months after launching her initial video. Taylor quit working on her Youtube channel after two months. Nearly 100,000 subscribers. The main reason was technical problems and that she felt overwhelmed. After taking a long month off, Taylor started making new videos. Taylor created the cult ASMR 10 triggers that help you sleep (35 million views as of the end of August in 2022). ASMR Twenty Triggers for Sleep the video, which became highly popular during July of 2017, has now been viewed by over 38 million people as of the 20th of August in 2012. In August 2017, she was interviewed for a Shane Dawson's video and shortly thereafter, reached one million YouTube users. Wired UK reported that in February 2019 she earned 1,000 dollars per day by advertisements on her YouTube channel.
Helfer was born in the rural area of Donalda, Alberta, Canada and was the daughter of Dennis and Elaine Helfer. Her parents are of German, English and Swedish heritage. She was a student at the William E. Hay Composite High School which is located in Stettler (Alberta). The three sisters she had, Tammy, Tara and Trena resided and worked on their family's farm. When she was 17 years old, a scout for models from an agency discovered Helfer as she waited in line for a movie.
